Has anyone had any success with the Seat frog app? I love travelling 1st class but some of the fares recently have been quite expensive. I downloaded the app several months ago and have not tried it yet.
How much has it cost you all to upgrade your tickets using the Seat frog app? I hear you can upgrade from £5.00. There is 2 options you can bid or upgrade now. Since writing this blog I have booked a standard ticket for one of my trips to see how much it will cost me to upgrade. I probably should have just booked direct but I wanted to see if I could save more money. When I have been on my journey in June I will write a blog on my experiences using the app and how much it cost me in the end.
Please follow my blog so you hear about my experiences using the Seat Frog app https://rosinaslifeisnice.co.uk
I love trying to save money and apparently my Grandma was exactly the same, as me so I am following in her footsteps. My Grandma used to stock pile which is buy when it is on offer. I do the same if it is a product I use regularly. I watch programmes in America and some have a whole room dedicated to their stockpile. I have not gone that far as we do not have the space. I thought I would write a list of ways to save money.
This blog is all about Asics Noosa FF. My current ones were starting to lose the tread on the bottom of the sole. I was concerned, I may fall over lol. I looked at Asics as I have had these trainers for my last two pairs, they are so comfy and work very well for what I use them for which is dance classes.
While researching I found a pair of Asics Noosa FF and loved the colour combination which is prune/glacier sea/rouge red. I compared the price and found the prices varied considerably. I went on Wiggle and saw they price matched so went onto their online chat and mentioned I found it on a competitor’s site for £49.99. They honoured that price as well as free delivery and free returns. The savings I made was £ 33.01.
Wiggle was so helpful and explained clearly what I had to write on the ordering system. I ordered the trainers on Wednesday evening, and they arrived on Saturday which was incredibly quick.
Asics Noosa are brilliant for me. I have narrow feet, and they support my feet compared to other brands. They also have bright colours which I love. I am really looking forward to wearing these in my next class on Monday and even considering buying a second pair in a different colour.
An article at Renaissance Heathrow hotel
I have stayed at Renaissance Heathrow hotel twice before travelling to Heathrow airport. This hotel ideally situated for all terminals. We stayed here in 2016 before a trip to New York travelling from Heathrow Terminal 2 and then last year travelling to Terminal 5 for a cruise to the Mediterranean.
The hotel was excellent and refurbished before our stay in 2016. The bedrooms are very well decorated and great size and considering you are so close to the airport it was very quiet. The staff were all very helpful and polite. The lift had a security system that you had to scan your key card to get to your room. My mum and I booked both stays via holiday extras as they had the best deals and additional discounts codes so always worth googling holiday extras discount codes. I will put some links of some discounts to help you all save some money. I would not hesitate booking this hotel. It’s always worth checking different sites to compare prices.
There is a free bus that’s goes to and from Heathrow Airport. The bus stops outside the hotel and not far to terminal 2. Here is a link below to help you all. We had to book a taxi to terminal 5 as we were a bit further away and not many buses at the time we left but in a taxi it only took 10 mins. We got to the airport a little too early that even the luggage drop was not open. !!!!!! I did help a few passengers check in though.
Here is a 20% discount off family and friends railcard. I have purchased a two together as my mum and I have travelled a number of times and makes it so worthwhile. We travelled 1st class from Newark Northgate to London Kings Cross for only £36 for 2 of us. It was on a Friday so got free alcoholic drinks and foods.
You get points for booking your trains this can be converted to money off future train journeys. I signed up as they had bonus points which was equal to £5.00 off
