We have decided to go to Puerto Pollensa. We visited when I was younger and we loved the resort as they had lovely restaurants, beaches and my favourite cake which is a speciality in Majorca an ensaimada. While in Majorca we had them for breakfast every morning Every time we visit Spain I always look for ensaimada it could be anytime it does not have to be breakfast.
We have looked at a number of different apart hotels. My Mum and I would like to be in similar area to last time which was close to beach and near Ila d’Or Hotel. We have worked out Puerto Pollensa is quite a large bay !!!!!! If anyone has been recently been could you advise on any recommended hotels and in particular bakeries which are within close walking distances ? I will go every morning to collect my ensaimada and of course other pastries.
It’s that time of year when we are trying to decide what holidays we should go on !!!! We decided this year that we were not going to go on a cruise as we had done one last year so a change would be a good idea. We like to make each holiday different so we don’t compare.
I started looking at different hotels in Majorca and then showed my mum a hotel that looked ideal. My mum decided that cruising was a better option as we would be able to do more, more food options and the hotel was in the middle of nowhere.
The next decision was when to go and where to go. He does not like flying so prefers doing cruises from Southampton. My Dad does not think travelling to London via train would be much fun.
Mum and I have cracked it. My Mum and I get the train from Newark to London travelling 1st class which always starts the journey off to a good start. We then walk to Renaissance St Pancreas hotel and get an Uber to Paddington station. We catch the Heathrow express to the airport and always stay in a hotel the night before.
Any cruise lines that would like to provide a free cruise for me and my mum in a suite would be much appreciated!!!!!!!!
Here is a photo of my Mum at about 4 am. We take photos of each other in case we lose one another.
As a family we like to go to places with our dog Olly. I thought I would write a list of dog friendly places to go in Lincoln to help readers who have dogs. Here are some of the places who are happy for me to share these with you. I will be updating this list as soon as I find other places. If you know of other places please comment below and I will get in touch with these places to get permission
I am incredibly lucky to have two Fitbits the Fitbit flex 2 and the Fitbit charge 2.
I would highly recommend both Fitbit’s they both have their positives and I use both of them equally.
The Fitbit charge 2 is used when I participate in my dance classes as it records more detailed information on my heart rate for example fat burn, cardio and peak and how many minutes of each. It can also detect what sort of activity I am doing for example aerobic, walking, cycling. I love how the charge 2 tells you if you have a text message, phone call, calendar events. It also records your active minutes. The charge 2 records the different stages of sleep which is really useful.
While the Fitbit flex 2 does not offer the heart rate options it is a slim and offers the steps, distance, calories and sleep but not as detailed as the charge 2. It is great option for me as it is discreet. I wear this one for work as its smaller and no screen so no chance it will get scratched. When I can’t wear this on my wrist at work I use a go travel body wallet.

Everyone who knows me very well knows that I love going to classes especially my dance classes. I decided in January that it would be very interesting to see how many classes I do in a year. I have been writing each class down when I have gone. I thought I would do a 3 monthly update to show you how many of each class I have done. I am sure some of my friends will be able to guess which one I have attended the most !!!

I was very lucky to attend Move it 2018 at Excel in London. It was amazing. There is so much to see and do during the event. I paid for VIP on Friday and Saturday as I really wanted to see the performances and you could watch nearer the stage. The other benefits of VIP were a Rucksack with lots of goodies that included a lovely sports bra,Capezio ballet bag, water bottle,t-shirt,planner and some snacks. There was also a lovely vip area with seating and hot drinks and water. The event was really well organised and the dancers were incredible. I would recommend Move it to anyone who loves dance.

I stayed at the Aloft on the Friday night during the move it dance event. The 1st impressions of this hotel were excellent just a short walk from Prince Regent tube station and to the excel. I picked this hotel as it was the closest hotel to the excel and did not want to walk far on my own. I was so pleased to be able to check in to my room at 10.50 am which was very early. I was really impressed with the room it was a great size. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was very open which could be difficult if sharing with friends. I had breakfast and a snack lunch and both were excellent. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
